Flat Rock Tent Park is a beachside campground on the Northern Rivers coast where the bush meets the beach. With 87 unpowered sites spread across the park, you can pitch your tent, set up your camper trailer or park your small campervan close to the ocean or among the trees. Either way, you’re only a short walk from the sand and surf.
The park sits right behind the sand dunes with spacious grassy sites offering beautiful coastal outlooks. Choose from 10 premium beachfront sites or 77 standard sites, all spacious and designed for a relaxed camping experience. We can’t accommodate caravans, hybrids, motorhomes or large campervans and our furry friends aren’t permitted on site.
Flat Rock itself is a natural tidal platform popular with surfers, fishers and marine life, our region has some of the most beautiful beaches for everyone to enjoy. Stunning coastal walking tracks connect the park to Sharpes Beach and Angels Beach or take a leisurely bike ride on one of the many cycling paths. The coastal towns and Ballina and Lennox Head are only 5 minutes away with lots of cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
Check-in is from 12.00pm and check-out is by 10.00am. We do offer late checkout up to 3pm (at Manager’s discretion) Late checkout fees do apply. The office is open daily from 8am – 6pm (closed 3-4pm).
Clean toilet and shower blocks with hot water, disabled facilities and a separate baby bathroom. Outdoor kitchen with tables, chairs, BBQs and sinks. The kitchen also includes microwave, toaster and kettle.
One vehicle per site is allowed. All other vehicles must be parked outside of the Park.

There are a number of designated bbq areas where fires are permitted. Braziers are available for hire, or you can bring your own. All fires must be off the ground.
Yes, camper trailers are permitted. Caravans, hybrids, motorhomes and large campervans cannot be accommodated.
Wi-Fi is not available. Mobile reception varies by provider and may be limited in some areas of the park.
